Start with the empty-bag measurement

For the CarryFacts under-200 filter, 200 g is the boundary: a listed 199 g qualifies, a listed 200 g does not. This is an editorial screening rule applied to the selected product option. It does not mean the packed bag weighs less than 200 g.

Keep the original unit alongside the conversion. An ounce-to-gram conversion makes records comparable; it cannot remove uncertainty about included straps, detachable hardware or the selected material.

Read the option, not only the model name

Our dated manufacturer records list Bellroy Lite Sacoche in Ash / Dura Lite Nylon at 116 g and Lite Sling Mini in River Rock / Dura Lite Nylon at 185 g. Norevix Crossbody Bag 2.0 Regular and Large are approximately 170 g and 190 g. These are examples of listed weights, not an exhaustive shortlist or independent weigh-ins.

A material or size variant can change the weight. Do not transfer a lightweight fabric specification to every colour, size or older version sold under a similar name.

Keep boundary uncertainty visible

An approximate specification near the threshold needs a second check when the threshold is important to you. A lighter number does not establish greater comfort, stronger construction or enough usable space.

RecordScreening treatment
Known listed weight below 200 gQualifies by manufacturer-listed weight; weigh-in still pending
Known listed weight exactly 200 gDoes not qualify for the strict below-200 filter
Approximate listed weight below 200 gQualifies provisionally by the listed approximation
Missing weight or uncertain variantUnknown; do not treat it as zero

Add your actual load

Make a second weight total for the phone, case, passport, wallet, keys and other items you carry. Add the measured empty bag only after checking whether the strap and accessories were on the scale.

Our field-test stage will photograph the scale and identify the tested unit. Until that evidence exists, the filter should help form a shortlist rather than certify a complete loadout.
