Carryology describes a wide, short profile suited to chest or back wear and either shoulder. The review highlights an open main cavity alongside mesh and panel pockets, giving the user organization without requiring every item to stay compartmentalized. Dual main zippers support access from either side. The reviewer also found the strap adjustment comfortable for a broad frame and appreciated the absence of dangling webbing.
The important compromises depend on material, clothing, and handling. On the VX42 sample, smooth garments allowed the sling to move forward during bending. Fast one-handed zipper operation could catch at the corners, although using the other hand helped. The Fidlock buckle could also feel sharp against the side. Check: bulky-item carry is constrained by the compact capacity.
Reported strengths

- Dual-sided main-zip access
- Adjustable carry for a broad frame
Reported trade-offs
