The reviewer found the shoulder straps comfortable but was disappointed that the Aer Travel Pack 3 does not include a hip belt. A curved zipper opens the laptop sleeve widely, making it easier for the reviewer to insert and remove a device. The reviewer says the backpack opens flat, allowing belongings to be packed more like a dresser drawer than a narrow tube.
External compression straps let the reviewer tighten the load, reducing shifting and making the pack less bulky during lighter commutes. Padded shoulder straps and the back panel made the loaded bag feel lighter, while load lifters helped reduce shoulder and neck strain.
