The reviewer considers the internal plastic key clip a missed opportunity because it is neither detachable nor magnetic for quick access. The Bellroy Sling uses a magnetic buckle for quick removal, while expandable sides accommodate fuller loads and compress when empty. The reviewer says the main compartment accommodates a wallet, phone, charger, and water bottle while retaining an uncluttered profile.
Reported compromises include limited organization, modest capacity, a cheap-feeling plastic key clip, and an unpadded strap. A light back-panel cushion reportedly makes carrying smoother during short walks or commutes and helps stabilize the Bellroy Sling when full.
