The reviewer found the lid’s zippered mesh pocket difficult to use consistently despite its intended role securing smaller items. Side grab handles were surprisingly useful because one was usually reachable for quickly pulling the cube from a backpack, duffle, or rolling luggage. A small spine daisy chain provides an anchor for opening and closing zippers and can also attach gear externally or secure another bag.
The reviewer warns that the cube’s limited organization may not suit travelers who prefer dedicated compartments for different gear. The reviewer says the remaining interior is open space for clothing, gear, or whatever fits the travel setup.
Reported strengths
- The reviewer reports that durable materials feel more substantial than many packing cubes while the compression collar helps manage overstuffed loads efficiently.
- Dual grab handles make the cube easy to access and use, according to the reviewer, regardless of how it is oriented inside luggage.
- Side grab handles were surprisingly useful because one was usually reachable for quickly pulling the cube from a backpack, duffle, or rolling luggage.
Reported trade-offs
