The Heritage Backpack has no external water-bottle pocket, requiring travelers who carry large bottles to store them inside the main compartment. The main compartment’s red-and-white striped liner contrasts with dark gear, making items easier for the reviewer to see. The shoulder straps have fair padding, ventilation, and strap keepers, which the reviewer says make them comfortable enough and control excess slack.
The polyurethane bottom repels water better than polyester and resists holding mud or dust, according to the reviewer. The reviewer’s headphones became stuck in the cable pass-through and required force to remove, discouraging further use during the testing period.
