The Junction’s rear hydration and laptop pocket is relatively flat, and the pack lacks a dedicated hose port for hydration tubing. The reviewer used the Junction’s rear paracord attachment for a wet jacket, firewood, and snorkeling equipment, demonstrating versatile external carrying. The Junction’s top access and uncluttered interior make loading and unloading straightforward, while an internal webbing loop accepts a pull-out pouch.
The Junction’s oversized open side pockets can each hold a one-liter bottle alongside a knife or small hatchet without consuming excessive main-sack space. The optional Line Pocket fits the Junction well, attaches quickly using G-hooks, and adds approximately five liters of organized carrying capacity.
