The smaller hook-and-loop exterior pocket fits an AirPods case or two cased film rolls, but offers limited broader usefulness. The back panel remains comfortable, and normally shaped contents do not poke through while carrying the sling. The Long Weekend Monterey Sling can be worn on the front or back, with easy transitions between those positions.
Front carrying gives the reviewer quick access to essentials, while the sling’s small size keeps it from feeling obstructive. The zippered exterior pocket accommodates boxed 120 film or several cased 35mm rolls, while securing small frequently used items.
Reported strengths
- The reviewer reports that the Long Weekend Monterey Sling’s exterior pockets provide more depth than seen on other slings.
- The reviewer describes the Woojin buckle as high quality, easy to operate, and secure against unwanted opening.
- The back panel remains comfortable, and normally shaped contents do not poke through while carrying the sling.
Reported trade-offs
- The reviewer says compact cameras fit the main compartment, but detachable-lens cameras are difficult because the compartment lacks depth.
- The smaller hook-and-loop exterior pocket fits an AirPods case or two cased film rolls, but offers limited broader usefulness.
- The strap lacks padding and aeration, and the reviewer notices its feel more when wearing thinner shirts or tank tops.
