The reviewer found the broad shoulder straps distribute gear weight well, while light padding prevents them from digging into the wearer. The bright liner makes the bottom of the unorganized main compartment easier to see, although the reviewer recommends pouches for small items.
The reviewer packed a swimsuit, full-size towel, hat, and water bottle with room remaining for an afternoon swim. The reviewer says packing the backpack into its pocket requires effort because bulky material and a zipper pull can catch straps.
