The reviewer appreciated the clearance above the front tyre but wanted more storage space inside and easier loading. The foam blocks can be removed using Velcro straps, while pulling the green webbing tightens the attachment and stores the loose end. The bag closes by rolling down openings at both ends, then clipping and tightening buckles against corresponding front and rear buckles.

Two external webbing straps can be removed by unbuckling or used to add support and carry additional gear around the bag. On separate rides, the reviewer carried a down sleeping bag and packed down jacket, fitting the Tendril between flared drop bars and on flat bars.

Reported strengths

  • The reviewer describes the Tendril as attaching directly to the bike with two handlebar quick-release straps and a removable buckled strap.
  • Foam blocks separate the bag from the handlebars, protect against rubbing, and leave room for the rider to hold the bars.
  • The foam blocks can be removed using Velcro straps, while pulling the green webbing tightens the attachment and stores the loose end.

Reported trade-offs

  • The reviewer’s main gripe is that the opening’s circumference matches the tube, creating a limitation in how the bag can be loaded.
  • The reviewer appreciated the clearance above the front tyre but wanted more storage space inside and easier loading.
