Separate rear laptop access allows the computer to slide out quickly without disturbing other items packed elsewhere in the backpack.
The suspended laptop area has a padded false bottom, while dual zipper pulls allow the compartment to be locked. Both stretch side bottle pockets remained usable when packed, accommodating a Columbia bottle and a one-liter Yeti during testing.
