The reviewer wishes the insert could become a small standalone tote with the crossbody strap for carrying essentials on quick errands. The reviewer prefers the tote because its cushioned crossbody strap avoids relying on shoulder straps that may shift while handling toddlers. The tote's interior provides mesh pockets, side pockets, a magnetized front pocket, and a hidden side pocket for organizing belongings.
The padded laptop sleeve occupies a separately zippered section, preventing items from the main compartment's other pockets from running over. The main compartment uses a separating zipper that connects at the base like a jacket closure before fully closing.
