The main compartment provides useful internal segmentation and central space for everyday essentials, though overpacking makes the Osprey Arcane Brief bulky and uncomfortable. The Osprey Arcane Brief uses 500D recycled polyester packcloth with a DWR coating, giving the material added water resistance and durability. The Osprey Arcane Brief has a movable, densely padded shoulder-strap cushion that flexes and contours comfortably across the shoulder.
Its independent front pocket offers substantial depth without reducing main-compartment space, although the reviewer used pouches because the pocket lacks internal organization. The laptop compartment closes with a Velcro flap, includes soft neoprene-like lining against scratches, and accommodated the reviewer’s 16-inch laptop.
