Using two strap pass-throughs secures the roll more firmly, but the reviewer found opening it harder, preferring one pass for daytime access. The sole securely closed pocket uses a capable YKK zipper and suits small loose items, although its compact waxed-canvas space holds few extras. Mesh pockets with elastic toppers accommodate wider items such as batteries, flashlights, and clipped pliers, while smaller objects may tumble out.
Four waxed-canvas liner pockets hold taller tools securely, but their lack of stretch prevents adding extra contents inside them. Eight elastic pockets offer versatile storage from pocket knives to styluses, yet larger tools beneath them can make those compartments difficult to use.
