The reviewer reports that the strap supports sling and waist-pack modes, but its thinness led them to default to crossbody carrying. The reviewer particularly likes the front pocket's self-locking YKK zipper, which works smoothly and reliably after folding its metal pull down. The reviewer says the Slide Lock hardware is slim and unobtrusive, and its wings can tuck beneath the back panel.
The reviewer found the structure less problematic behind the back, after noting it does not naturally contour for front-worn sling use. The front pocket provides substantial room and headroom for tall gear, but lacks a divider to separate very small items.
