The reviewer reported that the Mainpack’s wide shoulder-strap adjustment Velcro can be difficult to separate, recommending a thin insert during adjustment. The reviewer said the Backpacker can carry two laptops in well-protected, well-padded floating sleeves across its combined configuration. The Mainpack’s bright orange clamshell opening gives the reviewer broad visibility and reach throughout the interior during packing.
The Mainpack’s side pockets accommodate a 32-ounce bottle even with its bottom compression straps tightened, according to the reviewer’s testing. The Mainpack’s substantial hip belt includes convenient pockets and helps distribute weight across the reviewer’s body more evenly.
