After a month, the reviewer’s sample developed a front puncture, although the surrounding Ripstop Nylon prevented the hole from enlarging. The triangular mesh pocket is easy to inspect, but its unusual shape limits capacity and its see-through construction reduces security. The Sandqvist Erland’s horseshoe-style main opening provides efficient interior access, while the front mesh pocket remains visible externally.

The reviewer fit a 15-inch MacBook Pro with its sleeve inside, along with clothing, a tumbler, lunch, and a towelette. Because rigid materials are absent, the Sandqvist Erland transfers much of its contents’ bulk against the wearer’s back.

Reported strengths

  • The reviewer found the shoulder straps comfortable, appreciated self-compression, and considered the Sandqvist Erland stylish despite its packable design.
