Sedlar reports that the 36-liter layout accommodated clothing, shoes, a camera, and a bottle with room remaining. The zippered main compartment can open wider at both ends, while buckled ends helped when flying. Two exterior button pockets served cords and headphones; interior side-pocket rows suited a Kindle and toiletries.
He also found the leather-and-brass closures slow and awkward, though break-in improved them. Waxed canvas kept interior gear dry in a downpour, but water entered after the bag sat on wet pavement. Buyers wanting backpack carry should look elsewhere: Sedlar describes this as a duffle-only design.
