The reviewer considered the shoulder straps insufficiently comfortable because their thin polyethylene foam could be thicker or denser. The Impulse's main compartment includes three mesh divider pockets for organizing socks, underwear, and other flatter items. The bottom zip pocket provides space for shoes or dirty clothes and uses tarp-like lining with welted fabric to help protect its zipper.
The Impulse has a large laptop compartment accommodating computers up to seventeen inches, with a false bottom intended to protect against drops. The side compression straps keep the bag compact without obstructing the main zipper opening, allowing access while the straps remain tightened.
