The reviewer found XL-sized tops harder to fit in Tortuga’s small cubes because they are shorter than comparable Peak Design small cubes. The reviewer reports that the YKK zippers neither jammed nor broke throughout testing, supporting dependable access to the cubes. The large cube accommodates bulky pants and shorts easily, with the squared shape simplifying packing after clothes are half-folded and rolled.
The reviewer considered the cubes’ substantial structure a drawback because thick piping increases bulk, despite reducing warping during packing. The reviewer describes the SHELL70RS fabric as lightweight, water-resistant, and durable, with a polyester outer face and DWR coating.
