The reviewer reports that the padded back panel lacks ventilation, so it can become sweaty quickly in hot weather. The reviewer values side access to the main compartment because it allows retrieval without unzipping the rolltop each time. The rolltop can be adjusted to different lengths, allowing the backpack to serve as a tech daypack or larger one-bag travel pack.
The adjustable shoulder straps are thin but densely padded, and the reviewer reports they sit comfortably without digging in. The reviewer finds the modular pouch attachments worthwhile because installation is fiddly, but properly secured pouches stay firmly in place.
Reported strengths

Reported trade-offs
- The reviewer notes that the Vorlich lacks a specific water bottle pocket, leaving this feature dependent on individual travel needs.
- The reviewer reports that the padded back panel lacks ventilation, so it can become sweaty quickly in hot weather.
- The reviewer finds the carry less satisfactory because the pack’s top can sit far from the back, with the effect varying by load.
