The reviewer finds the clamshell opening tricky because packed contents can spill over the sides before the top half closes. The reviewer notes that smaller cubes are sold separately, allowing users to build a set for other backpacks. The reviewer fit ten tops plus underwear and socks in one large cube, while another held three pairs of pants and a large sweater.
The full-length zipper reaches the hinge, making the cubes easy to open and helping their side walls stay upright while packing. The cubes lack compression zippers, although the reviewer says they remain fairly packable when they are not fully stuffed.
