Reviewed sample: Colfax Design Works · T.O.A.D. 13L Dry Lumbar Fast Pack · Reviewed production revision unconfirmed · Reviewed capacity not separately established in this analysis. Historical publisher sample only; current production equivalence, stock and individual fit remain unverified. A complete CarryFacts specification record is not yet linked.
The reviewer cautions that fit and comfort depend on packing and carry choices because the pack has minimal padding and webbing-only straps. The reviewer reports that the 25mm shoulder webbing will not carry much weight comfortably, although adjustable straps help stabilize the bag.
Wearing the bag solely with its hip belt felt awkward to the reviewer because its large, boxy form remained noticeable. The reviewer found that lumbar carrying left substantial webbing hanging loose and twice required stopping to determine which strap sections went where.
Reported strengths
- The reviewer describes welded main seams that retain enough allowance for adding a lining and increasing internal organization.
- When tightened, the removable waist belt spreads weight across a larger area and removes the load from the reviewer’s shoulders.
