During the demonstration, the packed pouch began bulging, illustrating the practical limits imposed by its 0.5-liter capacity for larger loads. Opposite-side zippered pockets use fabric and see-through mesh, and both can expand slightly for somewhat bulkier items. The external lash points provide grabbing, attachment, zipper leverage, and a possible pen slot, adding several practical uses outside the main compartment.
The reviewer describes the 420D nylon exterior as strong and smooth, giving the pouch a durable, robust feel during handling. The reviewer notes that thick padding helps structure but limits compression, preventing the pouch from conforming around tightly packed gear.
Reported strengths
- The reviewer reports that the pouch's padded exterior helps it retain its shape and makes handling it between bag pockets easier.
- The main compartment has two zippered pockets, leaving the center open while separating smaller items for more orderly small-gear storage.
- Opposite-side zippered pockets use fabric and see-through mesh, and both can expand slightly for somewhat bulkier items.
Reported trade-offs
- The reviewer says the pouch opens fairly flat, although a bottom crease causes it to rock slightly on a surface.
