The reviewer reports that the Freerain24's thin shoulder straps can dig into the wearer when heavier items are packed. The compression sack remains attached inside the Freerain24, preventing it from becoming separated from the pack during use. Load-lifter straps bring the Freerain24 closer to the user's back, while adjustable straps accommodate substantially different wearer heights.
Elastic mesh pockets on both sides hold bottles of any size and remain usable even when the Freerain24 is full. The main compartment fits a fifteen-inch laptop alongside clothing and pouches, but its thin material offers limited item protection.
Reported strengths
- The reviewer reports that the Freerain24's main compartment is completely waterproof because its fabric, rolltop, and seams work together.
- The Freerain24 compresses into a very small sack, which can attach externally to another pack through its looped tab.
