External reports concern historical samples. Current SKU equivalence remains unverified; this is not a CarryFacts hands-on test.
Reviewed sample: Oberon Design · Sonoma Tote · acanthus leaves design in navy · 12″ tall x 14″ wide x 5″ deep; described as fitting a 13″ MacBook Pro and/or a 12.9″ iPad Pro. Historical publisher sample only; current production equivalence, stock and individual fit remain unverified. A complete CarryFacts specification record is not yet linked.
The Gadgeteer’s account describes a structured tote with a flat base that stays upright under load. Its back-wall organization includes a security zip pocket, two open pockets, a pen slot, and a keyring keeper. A useful carry detail is the divided front area, which helped hold an iPad sleeve in place; the reviewer also found the Cache sleeve compatible with the closure.
Positives reported by Cloninger include stable loading, protected small-item storage, and substantial device capacity. The tote could also be used without the sleeve as a handbag, according to the review. The presentation and embossed leather design were part of its appeal.
The main reported compromise is the unprotected base: there are no metal feet, so the leather can contact the floor. Carrying both large devices was possible, but Cloninger characterized that load as very heavy and more suitable for a long trip than daily use. Check: the review does not establish a production revision beyond the named navy design.

Reported trade-offs
- The flat bottom has no metal feet to keep leather off the floor.
- Carrying both a laptop and iPad together was described as a very heavy load.
