Reviewed sample: Platypus · Siouxon Hydration Pack · Reviewed production revision unconfirmed · No numeric capacity stated; described as the larger of the two women's packs. Historical publisher sample only; current production equivalence, stock and individual fit remain unverified. A complete CarryFacts specification record is not yet linked.
Organization is oriented toward substantial trail loads: the publisher describes space for helmets, eyewear, pads, layers, tools, and snacks, alongside a bladder compartment and an expandable front stow area. Reported positives include a notably secure, comfortable fit, a ventilated back panel, and a bladder system whose detachable hose and wide opening simplify handling and cleaning. The fleece-lined eyewear pocket is also useful for carrying multiple pairs of glasses.
The main compromise concerns full-face helmet transport, which Thompson found awkward because the helmet could swing laterally. The pack is also explicitly presented as a larger, feature-rich choice, so riders seeking only water and one extra layer may find its carrying brief excessive. Check: the review does not state a numeric capacity or identify a confirmed production revision.
