The bottle pockets are lightweight mesh pockets that accommodate large bottles, while the reviewer notes there is no hydration-bladder location. The reviewer found the padded and ventilated back panel and shoulder straps notably comfortable even during hot-weather use. The hip belt supports a fully packed load reasonably well and provides quick-access storage through pockets on both sides.
The top compartment expands storage and connects to the camera area with a zipper, giving the reviewer space for rain shells or other gear. The loose bag body could spread wider than the zipper closes, causing dividers to shift and gear to slide during use.
Reported strengths
- The PolarPro Boreal 50L Backpack provides room for usual camera equipment, a 16-inch laptop sleeve, and expandable roll-top storage when necessary.
- The reviewer still had room for the PolarPro 7L Tech Pouch and another pouch after carrying a substantial camera, drone, tripod, and action-camera kit.
