The reviewer considers the compartment's thin Velcro retention strip insufficiently robust and would prefer a stronger solution for additional peace of mind. The main compartment uses upward-closing one-way YKK side zippers, while its loop-Velcro lining supports customizable hook-and-loop pockets or organization panels. Instead of internal small-item organization, the reviewer describes a strap-mounted admin pouch, GPS sleeve, and smartphone compartment with added bungee and Velcro retention.
The reviewer reports comfortably carrying a DSLR, six passports, a trauma kit, an iPad, cables, water, snacks, phones, clothing, documents, and maps. The reviewer found the sling rotated forward readily for compartment access and could be worn in the lap while driving.

Reported trade-offs
