Ryan says the clamshell opening makes clothing easy to pack, while a padded laptop compartment with a 0.5″ foam base accommodates up to a 15″ laptop. He also praised the three-inch-wide padded shoulder straps and found the pack comfortable to wear. For a laptop, bottle, pouches, and a jacket, he reports ample room.
The compromises are limited organization and compact proportions. There are two internal pockets and a front stash pocket, making personal pouches useful for small items. Ryan, who is 6’3 with broad shoulders, found the back length too short, although he still described the pack as comfortable. Check: larger users should assess torso fit, and organization-focused carriers should confirm the pocket layout works for them.
