The optional hydration sleeve is mesh, so a leaking bladder could wet gear unless that equipment receives separate protection. Load lifters connect directly to the removable aluminum stays, allowing quick adjustments during hikes and helping transfer weight toward the hips. Each side pocket holds two tall water bottles and uses a shock-cord closure that helps prevent movement across rough terrain.

Compression cord passes behind and through the side pockets, separating load compression from pocket contents while improving access and security. The reviewer’s tall custom pocket holds his hammock sleep system, enabling camp setup without dismantling the main compartment’s contents.
