Greg Cleveland reports a suitcase-style main opening and a central compartment suited to a compact two- or three-day load. The rear mobile-office area held his Surface Pro, iPad mini, keyboard, battery pack, Switch, and cables, while a front pocket carried headphones and sleep accessories. Positives include the adaptable strap-storage system, a false-bottom laptop sleeve, and an organization layout he found especially effective.
The compromises are practical. Cleveland found the shoulder padding adequate but wanted broader, fuller cushioning for a loaded pack. He also considered the narrow side-to-side compression straps less effective than a wider top-to-bottom arrangement. Check: travelers on smaller aircraft should carry a backup personal-item bag, because this pack cannot go under the seat and may need gate-checking when overhead space is unavailable.
Reported strengths
- The reviewer praised the quality of materials and craftsmanship.
- The strap-storage system keeps shoulder and hip straps tucked away yet accessible.
- The mobile-office organization was considered highly effective for the reviewer's technology load.
Reported trade-offs
- Shoulder-strap padding could be broader and more substantial for a full load.
- The main-compartment compression straps are narrow and run side to side.
- The overhead-bin format creates a gate-checking risk on smaller or crowded flights.
