External reports concern historical samples. Current SKU equivalence remains unverified; this is not a CarryFacts hands-on test.
Reviewed sample: Wotancraft · Pilot 2L and Pilot 3.5L · 2022 Pilot line updates · Pilot 2L and Pilot 3.5L; both sizes reviewed, with no single tested size selected. Historical publisher sample only; current production equivalence, stock and individual fit remain unverified. A complete CarryFacts specification record is not yet linked.
In the publisher’s account, the 3.5L handled a large mirrorless body with lenses below super-telephoto size, while the 2L suited a compact mirrorless with most moderate lenses. Both include a divider, but its usefulness depends on equipment and orientation. Side PALS webbing also permits extra pouch attachment.
The practical positives are compact-kit suitability, configurable internal separation, and strong padding for camera-cube use. Tradeoffs include limited room in the small accessory compartments, plus different front-pocket closures: the 2L is open-topped, while the 3.5L uses a zipper. Check: gear dimensions and preferred orientation will determine which size is more workable.
Reported strengths
- Suitable capacity options for compact and larger mirrorless kits.
- Divider-based organization can be adjusted to gear orientation.
- Well-padded construction supports use inside a larger bag.
Reported trade-offs
- The small accessory compartments are not suited to carrying much.
- The 2L front pocket is open-topped, unlike the 3.5L’s zippered front pocket.
- Divider usefulness varies with gear size and orientation.
